The sequence "SV8BYR"

An experimental QRSS-1 beacon is now active on 40m - 7028.7 kHz with a power on 1 W on a dipole antenna. The beacon is operated by SV8CYR and transmits alternatively the callsigns SV8CYR and SZ8S. 

The beacon is a 1 W tranceiver kit with a 7030 kHz quartz crystal in a plastic box.

KM39 confirmed on two bands

I received a paper QSL card from SZ8LSV for their operation in Aegean Contest 2014, signed by SV8DTD. It confirms locator square KM39 on both 50 MHz (6m) and 144 MHz (2m).

Ham awards - 3: DXCC on 24 MHz (12m) arrived

Today I received the DXCC award for 12m (24 MHz). I had applied in late December 2014 only with 100 LoTW confirmations. In the meantime, a DXCC application with paper QSL cards that I had sent in mid-December was processed, so now I am listed with 104 confirmed entities.

Σήμερα το πρωί στην Γενική Συνέλευση της Ε.Ε.Ρ. ένας σύνεδρος, με κάθε σοβαρότητα και χωρίς να διαψευσθεί, ανέφερε ότι ένας ραδιοερασιτεχνικός σύλλογος των Αθηνών διαλύεται. Δεδομένου ότι υπάρχουν μόνον τρεις (3) σύλλογοι στην Αττική και η Ε.Ε.Ρ. παραμένει σχετικά υγιής, αναρωτιέμαι για ποιόν από τους άλλους δυο συλλόγους πρόκειται....
